Danger in the Stranger

Someone said, a hug can heal!

The broken chain that linked,

Two or more, once bosom buddies.

But proves wrong today,

Before a deadly unseen enemy,

Hidden in the wells of mucus,

Who taught us to fear,

Fear the danger in the stranger,

In whom we meet, and the friends we hug.

Stranger is no more a ‘stranger’,

But a ‘danger’ yet ‘nearer’

Concealed while mutating further.

In shadows' abyss, where secrets lie,   Time ticked away, beneath the sky,   The heart beats strong, yet sober deep,   In love's silent vigil, it silently weeps.   Confession spoken, a trembling plea,   Unveiled the truth, yet failed to see,   No echo returned, no warmth did bloom,   Just friendship's embrace, a quiet gloom.   Yet cruel whispers, they pierce the dark night,   Mocking love's dance, obscuring pale light,   Said, "You love in ways you cannot voice,   A silent scream, a hidden choice."   To quell the doubts, to stifle the jeer,   I donned a dark mask, concealing the tear,   A crush reborn, a masquerade's thoughts,   To prove my worth, to silence the faults.   But as days turned to nights, and nights to days,   Confession hung in the silent haze,   Not rejection, but gratitude's balm,   Left my heart in a qu...

"I Thirst"

The crimson sky wore a dark veil, Hushing even the women in their birth pangs. There seen the array of wailing women, Sobbing, yet feeble and faint, For their last ray of hope that dwindling on the Cross.  While the darkness seeped through the steep valleys, To the thatched huts and posh palaces alike. As the eerie silence engulfed the whole earth, The parched land longed beneath, Craving for a drop of living water. There erected, the Lord of the living streams, Flanked by the two, accused of theft. Opened His shattered lips and begged, “I thirst” …and so said the parched land beneath, “I thirst” …but only the sour vinegar was left. I thirst…the trembling voice resonated the horizons. The crimson gore thickened on the hard cross, While the scanty tunic tossed in the dark gale, Till the last drop paved its way down, Though the parched land refused to gulp, The murky drips that fell off the Cross.   Still heard the feeble voile said…” I thirst...” The Lord or the Land?...
